The Last Incantation
An adaptation of the short story by Clark Ashton Smith
Dedicated to the memory of Actor Jack Donner
Story
Malygris, an ancient necromancer, has learned all that there is to learn having mastered all occult lore, all forbidden knowledge, and having dominion over the spirits of earth and sea and air... and the living and the dead. But his knowledge of the dark arts is no longer enough to assuage the black ennui of his days. With cryptic guidance from his daemon familiar, Malygris seeks to summon his long-lost love, Nylissa, from beyond the grave where he still has one lesson to learn... from the last incantation.
About
The Last Incantation is an independent 21 minute long film based on the short story by Clark Ashton Smith and is the result of having partnered with WoodTeb (A Motion Picture Company).
Clark Ashton Smith was a poet, sculptor, painter and author of fantasy, horror and science fiction who was one of the major contributors to the golden age of Weird Tales magazine in the late 1920s through the late 1930s. He was in good company with Robert E. Howard and H.P. Lovecraft.
This adaptation was over a 10 year long journey started by Andrew Migliore and realized by the creative efforts of Woodruff Laputka, Tehben Dean, and Rob Taylor.
We hope that The Last Incantation will be the first in a whole line of Weird Tale and Cosmic Horror film adaptations.
Our thanks goes out to author Scott Connors and the Clark Ashton Smith Estate for supporting this project.

“There is absolutely no justification for literature unless it serves to release the imagination from the bounds of everyday life.” — Clark Ashton Smith
